About the Unit
The military security service is led and directed by the security office. Within the security office, the security protection department is responsible for the military strategic management of the security protection service. The information security section, where the position is placed, is responsible for matters concerning information security and physical security for the Armed Forces' security protection assets.
Main Responsibilities
As a specialist, you have a central role in the strategic and analysis-driven work to develop, support, and review physical security in the Armed Forces. This includes developing requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations in the area, and working on method development. You participate in control and supervision activities regarding security protection, conduct training initiatives, and provide advisory support on physical security issues internally within the Armed Forces and externally within the framework of Total Defense. Through environmental monitoring, you keep yourself updated in your field. Together with your colleagues, you are an important part of the development work within the security protection area.
Qualifications
- Professional officer exam or other relevant academic degree, or other education or experience deemed equivalent by the employer
- Experience in physical security work, including knowledge of laws and regulations in the area of security protection
- Very good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish
- Good knowledge of English
- Driving license B
Meritorious
- Several years of experience as a professional officer
- Experience working with public access and confidentiality legislation, the protection law, and security protection legislation
- Experience in monitoring, supervision, and controls
- Security protection or security/IT security manager training, civilian or within the Armed Forces
- Experience from staff work at regional or central level within the Armed Forces
- Experience working with alarms and technical surveillance systems
- Experience in case management at a government agency
Personal Qualities
We believe that you are curious, proactive, creative, and self-driven, with the ability to work both independently and in a team. Furthermore, we expect you to be able to convey your knowledge and switch between long-term work and handling tasks with very short timeframes. The strategic level of the work requires a high analytical ability where you can identify and describe deficiencies and problems, while being pragmatic and solution-focused. A large part of our work is done in collaboration with other units within Must, the Armed Forces, and other authorities, which requires the ability to create and maintain good relationships. We also see it as important that you have good judgment, a professional attitude, and high integrity. The position includes national and international travel within the framework of our control and supervision activities.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
The qualifications stated above must be verifiable upon request through certificates, references, and work or selection tests.
